LEVELUP MTA RACING AS THE TRICOLOR FLAG: CARRARO AND NEPA BEST ITALIANS IN MOTO3 IN JEREZ

Tenth and eleventh, with the national green, white and red best represented in the Moto3 class. Italian colors in high iridescent tone for the LevelUp MTA Racing, top ten with Nicola Carraro, one position later together with Stefano Nepa. The KTM duo lapped respectively in qualifying with the references 1’46″963 and 1’47″018, facing the Angel Nieto track still wet from the morning rain, making it treacherous. With cunning and strategy, the pit mates of Alessandro Tonucci’s team simultaneously launched the Time Attack, taking advantage of the data accumulated in the tests in view of the Sunday Grand Prix. The times recorded over the long distance and the drivers’ ability in the overtaking phase promise spectacle, doses of fun and important results.

Alessandro Tonucci, Team Manager:

“Very positive qualifying for us at Angel Nieto, with Carraro and Nepa as the best Italians in the Moto3 class. Nicola and Stefano will start tenth and eleventh, excellent positions on the grid but, even more notable is the top five potential held by both. By attacking with conviction, our drivers could challenge for the podium in the Grand Prix, demonstrating their proven competitiveness and absolute growth.”

#10 Nicola Carraro, P10: “Today I went well and the work with the team was excellent. Having taken advantage of Q1, I had further push and references during Q2, a satisfying session and for which I obtained a time in total autonomy, lapping on a clear track and without anyone else’s wakes. Tomorrow we will use the tires that allowed us to express an excellent pace in free practice, trying to start strong and remaining in the leading group.”

#82 Stefano Nepa P11:“Wet morning and I used Pirelli rain tyres, which I felt good and had fun with. The asphalt was almost dry in the afternoon, except for a few parts that were still damp; it was important to avoid falling into the trap, because finding yourself on the ground was a possible risk. I was careful and fast, expressing a pace that could take me to the top positions in Moto3 tomorrow.”
