Friday is over, but not the desire of LevelUp MTA Racing to obtain the best possible positions in the Moto3 class French Grand Prix. Alessandro Tonucci’s team concluded the timed trials in seventeenth and eighteenth position with riders Nicola Carraro and Stefano Nepa, a KTM duo focused on both race pace and Time Attack. Excellent results over the long distance, performances in the single lap could be improved: precisely in view of Saturday’s qualifying, the decisive and valid step of recovered grid places will be sought.Â
Â
Alessandro Tonucci, Team Manager: “Interesting Friday, which deserves to be analyzed carefully. Nepa boasts better potential than the centered position and, to reach its full potential, it will soon have to exploit the ability offered by the soft tyre, a solution necessary to enter the top ten. In fact, our work will be based precisely on this objective, knowing that Stefano can do it. Good performance shown by Carraro, always solitary in his action on the track, therefore never assisted by other people’s wakes. The rounds completed by Nicola proved to be constantly improving, for an ideal top ten time. Tomorrow he will try to enter it. The team will work hard to face positive qualifying sessions in the Moto3 class on Saturday, in a French Grand Prix that has yet to be written and turned in our favour.”Â

#10 Nicola Carraro P17: “Although I haven’t ridden in Le Mans for many years, I found a track that I really like, establishing an excellent immediate feeling, the same one brought from the Jerez weekend. I’m seventeenth at the end of the first day, but really happy with the sensations I felt riding the KTM and the great work done with the team. Tomorrow’s goal is to take yet another step forward.”Â
Â
#82 Stefano Nepa, P18: “The work with the used tires in numerous laps one after the other went very well, the Time Attack attempt carried out on soft cover was less good. We don’t like finishing so far behind in Friday’s rankings, but we have understood how to improve in view of the next few days. In fact, tomorrow we will try to give our best in the morning, in order to guarantee entry into Q2 and the most advanced starting position possible.”
