Seventh and fifteenth, but with respective potentials for more advanced and important results. Qualifying articulated and affected by the usual contested strategy of the Moto3 class for the LevelUp-MTA, with Stefano Nepa and Nicola Carraro instead authors of actions carried out autonomously and free from the influences of others. The 2’10″119 and 2’11″104 times cover the third and fifth row, but they do not reflect the real pace expressed over the long distance by the two KTMs, promising to recover position after position in tomorrow’s race, reaping what was sown in the English weekend of Silverstone.
Alessandro Tonucci, Team Manager: “Third and fifth row, not a bad weekend so far. The day went well with both Stefano and Carraro, despite having seen how the qualifying phases are conditioned by strategies, slowdowns and unorthodox behaviour. We have set up our work independently, preparing an optimistic Silverstone Grand Prix”.
#82 Stefano Nepa, P7: “Challenging qualifications for me, equally for the team: interpreting the opponents’ strategy and avoiding offering them a valid slipstream added obstacles to our Saturday, which we nevertheless overcame admirably. I’m seventh, but I could have achieved an even higher place. In fact, I’m counting on a top-ranking race pace, to be exploited from the start tomorrow.”
#10 Nicola Carraro, P15: “During qualifying I suffered a harmless crash, but the fifteenth time isn’t bad. I’m also confident in an interesting pace, knowing I have to manage the tires and taking into account an intense group battle. I have a valid pace, with which I can make as many overtakings as possible.”
