LIZARD TAIL: MTA LEVELUP OUT OF THE POINTS, BUT INTENDING TO MAKE UP FOR IT SOON

Arrivals at the finish line to be admired, however not to be pleased for the Level Up-MTA, outside the points zone of the Moto3 class French Grand Prix. Starting from twentieth and twenty-third place, Nicola Carraro and Stefano Nepa promptly recovered ground and positions, soon reaching the top ten. However, a blunder offered by an opponent disoriented The Panther, who was forced to leave the track and then returned further delayed. Slippage for Nicola Carraro, following the lack of understanding between the dashboard and the speed to be moderated or increased. Nico10 nevertheless resumed the action, seeing the checkered flag like his boxmate, cut off from the points, but with his lizard tails always moving.

Alessandro Tonucci, Team Manager: “Dark qualifying, but a potential top ten race. Unfortunately, Nepa was forced to wander into the gravel while trying to overtake an opponent. I’m sure Stefano will return to the top in Barcelona. Interesting evidence for Carraro, beyond a misunderstanding: there was a misunderstanding between Nicola and the pit wall, following a badly interpreted or better explained signboard on our part. Not knowing he was ahead or attacked by a rival, Nicola pushed harder and slipped. This aspect will be perfected for the next trips, like the starting phase, which is fundamental for competing for the top Moto3 ranking.”

#82 Stefano Nepa, P17: “After a steep climb at the start of the weekend, I was having a good race, made up of comebacks and good pace from lap to lap. However, the mistake I made forced me off the track: I was trying to overtake, it ended badly. It’s a shame, because the top ten was coming, it was within our reach. However, I want to thank the team for the hard work and infinite commitment made in trying to resolve the problems identified at the start. We are convinced that we will soon find the solution we are looking for.”

#10 Nicola Carraro P19: “I had a good start, following which I joined the fastest group. When I was attacking, an opponent’s mistake unhooked me from the train, thus finding myself separated from those in front of me. I tried to give more, but I slipped, without losing the desire to get back on the bike and cross the finish line.”
