First time on Friday and track record very close. Stefano Nepa’s weekend in Germany begins very strongly, with a time of 1’25″283 that puts him at the top of the Moto3 rankings. The Panther signed the best time, winning Q2, repeating, after consistency, a step from absolute category references. Nicola Carraro is gaining good confidence on the track, twenty-first, just a second behind his teammate, with the concrete possibility of competing for important positions in qualifying and in the German Grand Prix.
Alessandro Tonucci, Team Manager: “Nepa set an incredible, but very true, time. Stefano was super fast, tickling the track record. Its consistency is explained by the continuity expressed in the pace, for rapid laps placed in series one after the other. Carraro also did well, making a clear improvement on yet another track to discover. Nicola is twenty-first, but with a narrow gap from the top. We’re good for Q2, but the real focus is on the Sunday Grand Prix.”
#82 Stefano Nepa, P1: “Beautiful and effective Time Attack, for a fast lap that came out really well. The work on the bike also proved fruitful, because I felt comfortable using both rubber solutions. I thank the team for their hard work, continuing at the right pace and remaining focused on the continuation of the German weekend.”
#10 Nicola Carraro, P21: “First rounds for me at the Sachsenring, faced with a lot of commitment and work. In the morning session I struggled, but I knew it: the track had to be completely discovered, with related trajectories to learn. In the afternoon, however, I went well: thanks to the data collected and the analysis done with the team, I turned corners quickly and confidently. There is a possibility of getting into Q2, I will try to satisfy it.”
