ITALIAN GRAND PRIX UNLUCKY FOR LEVELUP MTA

An accident removed Stefano Nepa from the scene, due to a dynamic in which the number 82 was knocked to the ground by an opponent’s maneuver. The KTM LevelUp MTA was capable of an excellent result at Mugello, in the Italian Grand Prix, the home event for the riders and team. Bad luck betrayed The Panther who, as a small but fundamental consolation, despite having suffered hard blows, maintained full integrity and physical functionality. The unfavorable episode occurred in the second Sunday start, following an initial start and subsequent interruption. Nepa found himself with both chances of top positions in the Moto3 class. Complicated dynamics for Nicola Carraro, doing well in the initial stages, having difficulty when the traffic lights went out for yet another time. However, sixteenth place means a finish line, to make up for the recent disappointments of the year.

Alessandro Tonucci, Team Manager: “Unfortunate race, because after the second start Stefano covered an excellent position and had a high ranking pace. Stefano could really go and catch the leading group, as he was in good shape with the bike and was already fast to precede the red flag. Unfortunately, we saw what happened: the contact triggered by a rival put an end to the Italian Grand Prix promising a great result.”

#82 Stefano Nepa, DNF: “Ending the home Grand Prix with an accident is a real disappointment but, fortunately, I got up from the ground without any physical damage. It’s a shame, because both in the first and second stages I felt really good with the bike, I was fast, I could go and take the result built over the weekend. It went differently than I hoped, but I’m happy with the warm embrace from my fans.”

#10 Nicola Carraro P16: “Before the red flag I had a good feeling on the bike, so much so that I avoided an opponent who fell in front of me, then the race was interrupted. Difficult restart, with difficulty in maintaining the pace of the leading group. I found myself in brawls, learning from riders more experienced than me. I will take what I have learned to the next race, confident that I can get the best out of it.”
