Thanks to the thirteenth place obtained by Stefano Nepa in the Catalunya Grand Prix, the number 82 took 3 points, equal spoils for the LevelUp MTA team. The timed trials were good, the qualifications were promising, except for Sunday’s performance, in which Nicola Carraro reached the finish line eighteenth. With the Montmelò weekend completed, Alessandro Tonucci’s KTM team is eighth in the standings, with the set objective of making up ground in the next stage at Mugello, a home event in which to turn fatigue into joy.
Alessandro Tonucci, Team Manager: “To define myself as satisfied would be misleading for the entire group and the supporters: I expected better from the Catalunya Grand Prix, at least to copy what has already been excellent this year. Unfortunately the race fell short of expectations, but I take note of it. We will start again even stronger with the team and the riders in the Mugello trip. In Italy we will do our best, transforming disappointment into happiness.”
#82 Stefano Nepa P13: “Difficult race, after a rather good Friday and Saturday. The speed expressed in testing and qualifying left room for difficulties in the bends of the Catalunya Circuit. I tried to get back up the slope, but without overtaking, which would have allowed me to recover some positions. We will analyze the situation before Mugello, a home away match in which we all want to do more than well.”
#10 Nicola Carraro P18: “Starting from the back meant my Grand Prix was steeply uphill, however, from lap to lap, I re-established a good percentage of confidence in the saddle, which was lost in the crash I suffered on Saturday. In the technical part of the track today I was fast, a shame about the fatigue I felt in the initial stages of the race. We will start again from Mugello to get back into the points group and further up.”
